COSTAATT Training in Records Management
The following are two of the Certificate Programmes that are currently offered by SOCELL. If you are interested in pursuing one of these programmes, please download the School Application Form and return/submit it to nearest COSTAATT campuses listed on the form.
Records Management |
| This certificate programme is designed to provide training for persons who have worked for at least three (3) years in the area of the management of records in the Public Service or in a private sector organization. Upon completion of this programme, participants will have acquired the requisite skills and knowledge to function as effective records and information management paraprofessionals and to run a successful records management programme in the Public Service or private organization. All courses comprise both theoretical and practical sessions. The theoretical sessions are delivered through lecture/ discussions, group work, case studies, and video and powerpoint presentations. The practical sessions include field trips to the Trinidad and Tobago National Archives and other appropriate organizations in order to view the records management systems of these organizations. Entry requirements: Applicants to the programme should have at least five (5) CXC or O’Level passes including English, and must be computer literate with working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Productivity suite of applications.
